Best things start on the football pitch
When our founders, Sigbjørn and Børge were coaching their then company’s - BCG - football team they recognized the spark of a great collaboration. The match kicked off and they won the opening game of the series and partnership of a lifetime. The two inquisitive souls started by asking questions: Why does procurement still rely on manual work and hunch? Why are companies not investing more in procurement given the tremendous potential that lies in the function? And how can we bring the right technology to people to make their day-to-day tasks simpler, decision-making smarter, and returns bigger?
Their curiosity led them to build a state-of-the-art spend management solution to help organizations manage spend smartly and effortlessly.

The Ignite story
Back in 2017, we began to make procurements simpler by creating a smarter way to manage spend. Today, we bring technology and data to every step of the strategic procurement process to help companies improve their performance at the top and bottom line.
Most spend management solutions get in your way of success. They are either too complicated to use, inflexible, don’t improve your spend data quality, or fail to give you the granular-level visibility you need to manage your spend. It means you get a technology which is limited, complex, inefficient, and hence, not meaningful. We wanted to change this.
We believe every procurement professional deserves a better, easier way to manage spend, and most definitely, that seat at the top table for their department. Ignite helps procurement get there by providing solutions to manage spend across the full range of strategic activities and obtain visibility, insights, opportunities, and value it needs.

CEO & Co-Founder
Sigbjørn co-founded Ignite in 2017. He has helped to transform an idea into a solution that is used and loved around the world. As our CEO, Sigbjørn’s in charge of the product strategy and overall direction of our company.

Børge Langedal
Chief Revenue Officer
Børge co-founded Ignite in 2017. He oversees our sales, marketing, revenue operations, and customer success. As our CRO, Børge is responsible for our revenue growth and orchestrating the commercial team coordination.

Valdemar Rolfsen
Chief Technology Officer
As our CTO, Valdemar is responsible for envisioning our product roadmap and oversees the creation of the features and functionality that we bring to our customers around the world.

Johan Marcus Bull-Berg
Chief Customer Officer
Johan Marcus is responsible for our customer success team. The team optimizes the customer experience and provides strategic advice to ensure that customers maximize the value of our product. He used to work in Boston Consulting Group before he joined Ignite.
