How was your first day at Ignite?
I feel so lucky to be able to spend the summer with Ignite. My onboarding started remotely at the end of May but officially, getting a seat at the office at Epicenter was something else, not to mention the smooth curved monitor; my laptop alone will never be the same. Everyone I met in the office was very welcoming and friendly, and I immediately felt included.

In your view, what makes the team Ignite special?
What makes the whole team Ignite special is that it is always "we" or "us" rather than "I" and "you." There is absolutely no self-righteousness, and people here know how to have fun while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams. My impression is that Ignite is an innovative company with user's interests at heart. Moreover, the team works diligently to achieve the company's vision and mission.

If you could describe Ignite Procurement in three words, what would they be?
Progressive, connected, and purposeful.

What's a fun fact about you?
Coming up with fun facts about oneself somehow suddenly makes you forget everything you have ever done, seen, heard, or said. But, I will share something good. I was embarrassingly late to notice the arrow in the FedEx logo, and it was not before practicing resuscitation on Resusci Anne that I realized Bee Gees are singing "Stayin' alive" and not "Stena Line."

What is a fun fact about you?
When I was four, I promised my parents that I would start a pizza restaurant and buy them a big boat. Surprisingly, that did not quite pan out.

I think Ignite has a forward-thinking and open-minded team that believes in giving importance to inclusivity, accessibility, and sustainability. As a Product Design intern, it is great to see that the designers and the developers, managers, and customers work together in a loop; thus, making sure that we do smart work and not hard work. I came home from Switzerland this Sunday, so I started a week later than the other interns. Despite this, and also I was working from home due to quarantine, I had a smooth onboarding, thanks to my supervisors.

In your view, what makes the team Ignite special?
I don't work with any other interns, but I do work with Johan Marcus and Adrian. Both are really knowledgeable, friendly, foster a non-hierarchical working environment, and are highly engaged. I would also say the team works effectively - organized yet agile.
