
Ignite Wins Tender with the Norwegian Environment Agency

The Norwegian Environment Agency, and implicitly all organizations that are part of the Norwegian Ministry of Climate and Environment, has selected Ignite Procurement as their spend management solution going forward.
A Spend Management Solution to Support Strategic Procurement
Although the contract was formally signed with the Norwegian Environment Agency, the agreement also covers all subordinate agencies or organizations that are part of the Norwegian Ministry of Climate and Environment.
The Norwegian Environment Agency is currently focusing on building a strategic procurement function across the different agencies. In this work, the agency identified the need for digital procurement tools to support them in a more strategic-driven future. As stated in the public tender, Ignite Procurement will help facilitate and support;
- Data management across multiple organizations
- Spend and procurement analytics for overview, insights, and follow-up
- Spend classification and category management
- Enrich existing spend and procurement data
- Contract management and cost savings
- Reporting, statistics, and KPIs
Moreover, the public tender highlights the importance of the solution being user-friendly and easy to use.
About the Norwegian Environment Agency
The Norwegian Environment Agency’s central tasks and responsibilities are to manage Norwegian nature and prevent pollution.
The agency has approximately 700 employees, where most of the employees work at their offices in Trondheim and Oslo. The departments primarily responsible for nature management are located in Trondheim, while the departments mainly responsible for climate and pollution issues are located in Oslo.
